Welcome to Frederick School of Religion – Our 40th Year

We are an ecumenical organization providing religious education in the greater Frederick, Maryland community. Courses are open to anyone who seeks to grow spiritually: young or old, laity or clergy, and from differing religious persuasions.  The School offers courses on subjects of continuing interest in religious history, theology, religious education, ecumenical studies, church administration, spiritual growth, worship and the arts, and life issues. 

This is our mission —

1. To provide courses in a broad range of religious subjects for adults of all ages with a variety of spiritual interests and needs.
2. To provide the opportunity for spiritual growth from each individual student’s starting point.
3. To build friendships between persons, congregations, and congregational  jurisdictions, enriching both the individual and the greater Frederick community.
